The revotution in Egypt and football
The contreversial banner
last nightt there was a football match in the city of Port Said in Egypt between two Egypcian teams Al ahli from the capitale Cairo and Al masri from Port Said north east city . Even before the beginning there seemed to be some tensions; outside the stadium the cameras showed some young people trying to block buses and smash them with stones.
Just after the final of the match, the supporters of Al masri who won it , rushed across the stadium field towards the supporters of Al ahli and the massacre started , the toll victims reached till now almost 80 dead and many enjured . Some Egyptians have said that the Al masri supporters were provocated by the supporters of Al ahli who hailed banners saying " Port Said is a garbage and there are no men in it".
Others have said that all this was orchestrated by the ennemies of the revolution , the remnants of Mobarak regime . Too, some people have accused the police and the military council which is ruling the country now of not having done enough to prevent what happened. Actually , TV pictures have shown that the police men who charged to maintain security inside the stadium did not stopped the supportes of Port Said team to come down to the stadium field and then assault the supporters who came from Cairo .
May be the police men have done nothing for fear of not being accused of using accessive force , or just they feared to be the targets of the angry supporters ,as there is still some tensions between the police and the population in Egypt who suffered a lot from the police corps.May be the Egyptians misused the space of freedom which has been given to them after a bitter struggle to attain it .
All this has shown tha the revolution is still in its begining , and that there is a lot that must have been done , starting by revolutionizing our ways of thinking and the way of our acting and proceeding . Let'sfirst start by respecting each others , and let aside the tribal thought which blinds the eyes .
