Sarkozy..the Arab spring and Israel
In his speech at the Jewish school ,Sarkozy praised the arab uprising, he reassured the Israelis that the new leaders in the arab countries do not represent any threat on them . He said too that France will not compromise on Israel's existence , and that It will not let it down vis a vis the Iranian menace.
Sarkozy has allocated a part of his speech to Shalit , in the presence of this latter's father who gave a speech just before Sarkosy's. He said that Shalit was a child when he was kidnapped by Hamas , and that he was badly treated during his 6 years of detention . Sarkozy has proven to be a liar ; Shalit himself after his release has approved and confirmed that Hamas treated him well ,besides Shalit was a 20 years old soldier when he was captured by Hamas combatants in a battle field , and not an innocent child .
He , too , adviced Israel not to conduct an arm attack against Iran , for this in his opinion, will enflame all the region, here we are just wondering who is threatning the other Iran or Israel ? And he confirmed that France is categorically against Iran nuclear ambitions , here too we just wonder why he has said not even a word on Isrel atomic bomb. He added that Isreal has the right to exist as a state , and that the palistinians have a right for a state too . But how ? he said that something must be done, when and how? he has explained nothing , but confessed that the Quartet has failed
Hearing this speech , it comes to the mind that it resembles those speeches of american presidents in the AIPAC . The americains have the AIPAC and the french politicians the Jewish school . This speech of Sarkozy is plainly an election compain to the presidency , notwithstanding that Sarkozy has not yet confirmed his running for the election of France president. So it is up to you to judge. Another question is rising up : why Isreal "a democratic state " is fearing the arab uprising and the emergence of democratic states in the arab world?
